Mama

If you are looking for motivation to keep you going, to wake you up every morning and to make you strive better each day then look no further. You have your mama for all that. It doesn't matter whether its your real mum, an aunt who has been your mum, a big sister who brought you up etc. I mean a mother, a female figure that has seen you through your ups and downs, has given you strict rules to abide by, she quarrels you at the slightest mistake but still hugs you tight when all goes wrong.
Mums are extra ordinary, for a start they bare you for a whole nine months and do all that it takes to ensure you transit to the world alive and kicking. They love you unconditionally each day and watch every bit of you grow up from the tiny first tooth to the first words you say, they are there cheering you on. To them you are the most beautiful baby existing. When dad is not in the moods for diapers and napkins mum never complains. Out of that unique love and connection she has she does it almost automatically. You innocently pull her hair and slap her occasionally and marvel at the expression she gives. She protects you from all possible danger including from the mean house helps who would mistreat you without caring.
You then grow up and start hating to hear her yell your name and send you for errands. Occasionally you pretend you did not hear her call. Then she tells you not to do abcd and you just wonder why did she bare you if she hates you so much and why cant she just mind her own business. She gets pissed off and canes you on several occasions with the intention to rectify your manners at the back of her mind. She could be the meanest person existing for other people but a mother is never against the welfare of her child.
Later on you realize she could have chosen to let you be the way you want, neglect you perhaps or ignore you but no, she has always been there to the point of forcing you to do the right things sometimes. Praying for you that you excel at school, have good friends, make it big, that you get a good family of your own and lovely grand children for her. That's a mothers pure love and whichever the relationship the love is always there deep down.
To all the mothers who are doing a great job keep it up its never in vain. To all of us remember to thank God for lovely mothers both on earth and in heaven. Appreciating them can never pay up for all that they have done but it goes a long way in warming their hearts.
