MY WALK IS STILL WORTHWHILE (From my archives)

I fall, I rise, I make mistakes, I hurt people, I get hurt, I am loved by many and perhaps hated by a few, I worry and judge as much as am judged and that makes me human. In my world perfection has never existed, it never will. I struggle with forgiveness, righteousness, gratitude, success, moods, name it each with its own magnitude. I still believe despite my short coming, challenges faced and those yet to come, the right and the wrong decisions I have/I will make, the tears I have shed and the tears people have shed for me, my walk is still worthwhile. I don't deserve it, I probably never will but when you serve a mighty God He gives you second chances and the work he started in you, He will bring to completion. Life goes on until it is over, six feet under. Until then I shall fight my battles, accept success and failure alike and live to fight another day. I shall get the strength to rise up after every fall and pursue my dreams a day at a time because I realize I have t...

NEVER TOO LATE (From my archives)

It is never too late to make the right decisions in life. They say ones beaten twice shy but sometimes people are beaten severally to actually take up a lifetime lesson.     The determination to do things differently is never in vain. If something inside you tells you you can actually make it better or change how things are, pursue that desire. It is the inner desire that pushes us to go for goals and visions. Our past experience is a learning platform. It should be a reference we look at, to make things better or do the same things differently.      You have made it before, people are always making it so you can make it even now. Nothing is too difficult to crack especially things that people have gone through and past like education, principles to live by, targets to reach etc.You are not people but that is proof that whatever it is there is a way out.      It starts with a desire, decision, a plan and actualizing it practicall...

Left to right

I look at life from the left to right perspective. From rags to riches, illiteracy to literacy, sadness to joy, young to old, immature to mature etc. Most of us start from the left side characterized by most undesired traits. There is nothing wrong with being on the left side as long as we are moving towards the right side. Growth, everyday growth should be our personal drive. Moving from one side to the other is never a walk in the park. We just don't wake up and get rich suddenly, it rarely happens. Every good trait takes hard work. Hard work also means not giving up when the going gets tough. You have to fight and keep fighting and remember why you started the fight in the first place. If the reason is worth it and the end product you desire fully, you just have to work a little harder. Moving from left to right is first of all a choice. A choice you have to make everyday. A slight mistake may land you right back to the beginning but if the course is worth it, get up and keep ...

The desirable friend

Some friends are too dear and close that they literally become family. Those friends who cross your mind first when the best and worst things happen in your life. Most times they receive the news before your family does. These friends have particular traits that make them so dear to other people. These traits include:- They are real. A true friend is real. They call a spade a spade and not a big spoon. When a true friend is telling you a story of how they got dumped, they do not sugar coat it to make it seem like they did the dumping . You wouldn't judge them for whatever it is that happened after all, would you? I mean they are your friends so they lay it down exactly how it went.    A true friend is not selfish. Have you ever had a friend who is always asking and never giving? That friend who when it comes to contributing for a group venture they always must be the ones giving less. They could in fact be having more than everyone else but no, to them it feels better when...

Three points a christian should not miss(sunday sermon)

Happy Sunday loved ones. Today was one of those Sundays I went to church and came out a changed or lets say a better christian. It does not happen always but the point of going to church in the first place is to listen to God's word and be a better person than what you were before. Allow me to share the three major things i picked from today's sermon hoping you too will be a better individual. The sermon was from the book of Acts chapter 10. Prejudice As a christian there is no room for prejudice in our lives. Never allow yourself to feel better than any other person, race, tribe, culture, class etc. We were all saved by the same blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. He came for all of us regardless of how rich, poor, smart, light, dark or whatever else we are. Any christian who discriminates/looks down upon another human being should therefore examine the grounds upon which they claim to be christian.  The gospel Our basis and weapon as a christian is the bible. There is...

New year things

Happy new year loved ones. I hope I did not take too long to wish you all a nice one, they say better late than never. Nothing much has changed except we have started counting days from January all over again. It is therefore a good chance to make new decisions, try alternative ways of doing things and probably push harder depending on how your previous year was.  There has to be a reason as to why we keep starting all over again otherwise there would be no new year, no new month and certainly no new day. As much as some people may say the resolution making every new year is irrelevant, I think it is very relevant and necessary. Planning is the first step to getting things done. We do not have to wait for the new year to plan but it is a perfect opportunity given the rejuvenation that comes with it. For those of us who believe in making resolutions and chasing them day in day out here is a short to do list to keep our heads high all year round; Purpose to smile more and frown...

The man every woman wants

I am not married, we may say I don't have experience but i definitely know the kind of man every woman wants because I am a woman. Women like feeling special and pampered, it is in us. Those lovely compliments, sincere appreciation and sweet words warm our hearts. Yes we are special for sure hence we deserve to feel equally or more special. When a woman meets that gentleman who makes her feel special than any other person around her, you can be rest assured she will make you feel triple special in return. A woman is like a kid, however learned or experienced she is, she would not resist a good sense of direction. No woman wants to have man who is not concerned any inch about what goes on in her career field/business. We all admire men who make us better in our careers and ambitions. By making her better I mean knowing what goes on in her business, having two or three compliments about it,  practically assisting with ideas and getting things done if need be. Anything supportive ...
