Gone too soon, Rest in peace comrade
Unpredictable life. Gone too soon. Till we meet again.
Life lost at a young age is so sad to come in terms with. We walk, talk, eat, laugh, cry and do all that we do because we have life. We may lack some of life's necessities but we do have life, the richest necessity ever.
I mourn, we mourn our very own comrade, a life lost too soon, too sudden. Rest in peace Sinbad Ongeri. Five years of being classmates went too quick and truth be told none of us, at least not me imagined we could loose any of us anytime soon. We have felt the pain of loosing a comrade before, RIP Nimrod but death came back and took yet another comrade.
Travel well brother, we will miss the moments shared all these years, good and bad, funny and not funny, that is what life brought to us. Some of these memories still fresh, the final year dinner, fifth year project presentation, sports day, survey camp to name but a few. I now realize how fragile life can be because tomorrow is not a guarantee however painful it sounds.
The one very important lesson I realize I took from you Ongeri is the spirit to go for it regardless of what people think. At the back of my mind I always thought the one person who will make it in life with or without opportunities is you. Well, God had better plans, He always does.
Geospatial Engineering class of 2011 wishes you a farewell to the land of peace. We wished to graduate together but sadly that will not be the case. Go well, rest in peace and may God comfort all of us especially your family.
RIP COMRADE.

ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteOngeri lived at ease and nature taught,
ReplyDeleteAnd spent the little life without a thought,
And am amazed that Death, that tyrant grim,
grabbed someone who i knew at personal level.
I'll always cherish Ongeri and his memories
You two were close friends for sure Vinny, I feel this loss too and may He rest in peace. He is in a better place.

ReplyDeleteTill we meet again, a young vibrant life lost just like that, and yet again God is always in control.
DeleteHis zeal, determination and courage was unmatched. Whenever he set his goal, he made sure he reached it no matter what. He never minded the storms on the way. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
ReplyDeleteThat too is one of the outstanding things I saw in Ongeri. May he truly RIP.
