MY LIFE IN CAMPUS-SHOUT OUTS {PART 2/3}

Campus made me learn so many things. Among them was making time to have fun and pass time with friends. In campus you are young, we are told this very many times until we have to act on it. We are told campus is the only place you have the freedom to have fun without certain restrictions and limitations. The society expects us to get married after campus; in an ideal scenario apparently, we should be graduating from campus with two degrees, bachelor degree and husband/wife degree. When you are told this you know you really have to create time and have some fun before the babies set in. My five years were fairly fun I can’t complain and won’t regret either. A shout out to my fun buddies Rhoda Odongo, Shakila Omulisia, Susan Okumba, Cynthia Olwande, Valentine Ngilimo, Sylvia Awori, Judy Anyango. The getting together, jogging, cooking, photo shoots, dancing out, parties and picnics I shared with you ladies will forever be among my treasured memories. Away from campus I hope the having fun spirit goes on wherever you will go. Have fun by yourselves, with your sisters, friends and spouses and with me too whenever we find time to hook up. I made sisters of different personalities in you all and hope to keep these sisters for life.

There is a group of people every school goer never forgets. The classmates! Spending time with a group of people for a good five years connects you. From my class I made 3 lovely sisters and 27 lovely brothers.  People that we have shared ups and downs but one thing remains, we were classmates for five good years. All the sports days wouldn’t have been amazing without you; all the lessons we shared were fun because the class had people; survey camp was fun because we were a group of us. You guys know in case I will be tarmacking after school I hope you will connect me with some of your employers, of course that’s before I have my own firm ; when I will be doing my wedding in future you are very much invited and being engineers I expect presents of your caliber ;-); when I start getting babies I hope to introduce them to uncles and aunties and to their playmates, your  kids; I hope my house warming shall be full of GST class of 2011; I hope we grow old together into our full careers and still keep contact; I hope to partner with you and come up with big geospatial engineering firms that will scare the s*** out of ERB; I hope when all is said and done and my time on earth is up, you shall carry me to my grave and say, “ I studied with that old granny, she was my classrep ;-).” I treasure every moment we shared with all of you, thank you for being my classmates and most importantly for being my friends. 29 names can’t fit in here but I love you all, of course in the brotherly and sisterly way #agapelovethings. P/S I would do all the above for you too.

And then there are the other friends I made here who in one way or the other gave me more life, more than I would have without them. My neighbor’s right from home, Robert, George, Kevin, Allan, Khaemba Sam and Neli, reuniting here was awesome. It only goes to show Bungoma is very much represented all over the world. Thank you for your continued well wishes n friendship. For those who went ahead of me in this noble career, motivated me to seek the best and be the best, I am truly grateful. Asante sana Makheti, Nyamori, Caleb and Korir, I know the future is bright because you all give me hope. The roommates and girlfriends I made from here Rachel, Olwande, Diana, Melody, Dolphin, Pauline you were a blessing in one way or the other. Thank you for the peaceful co-existence and friendship that came along with it, I wish you all well. All the other friends I made or re-united with here, you are all in my heart, friends from Lugulu, The Kenya High School and all those who have supported me while here including my loving relatives maternal and paternal, this girl treasures and loves you through all the times and good thoughts you shared with her, may this spirit continue forever.

 And how would I forget the people who brought me to campus? I could get all the grades I wanted to get but without caring parents and a caring family all that could have gone down the drain.  When you have parents who are teachers you know university is compulsory. Thank you daddy and mommy, I know I will never compensate you even in my entire lifetime but don’t you feel proud that your once tiny little baby girl just finished campus? I know you do. Thanks to my brothers and sister, I did not need to get any old married sponsors to sustain my campus expenditure. Don’t get me wrong, I mean apart from the financial support, you all taught me well. I am me because those who went ahead of me inspire, teach and guide me well. I truly owe all of you, from the bottom of my heart asanteni sana to you and your lovely families.
And last but not least, to my lovely Etienne, you deserve a blog post of your own and that is an agenda for another day. This final year would have been a lot harder without you, I needed an angel and he came in form of a person. What do I say, Je t’aime mon chѐri.
Well, we are not yet done, part 3 loading…
